Our classes are unique. The very best in their fields, they will give you priority access to them if you want any extra support.
From the moment you sign up, we send you a copy of The Happy Birth book. Plus, your dedicated Midwife will be on hand to answer any questions by phone and email - there is nothing they haven't heard before!
We also offer our very own comprehensive 4-hour Hypnobirthing workshop which compliments our ante-natal course perfectly. Megan, our fully-qualified Hypnobirthing Coach will train you to cope with labour by harnessing the power of the mind, perfecting breathing techniques and learning to use visualisations. It is invaluable for any type of birth, including cesarean sections. Knowing how to stay calm is also useful for life as a parent! For further details and to book onto this course, click here.
Whether it's writing for newspapers, magazines or talking to The Happy Birth Club, communication is at the heart of everything I do. Since I had my son 16 years ago (two girls followed who are now 8 & 10), I was drawn to use my love of great births alongside my love of words to help couples transition into parenthood. Whether it's through our book, our forthcoming podcast or - where it all began - our lovely little classes, I still feel privileged to be speaking to people on this daunting but amazing journey. After five years of evolution, we have now perfected our course and I'm genuinely proud of the service we offer: there are no rules, no embarrassment and no finger-wagging – but laughter is guaranteed.
At our ante-natal sessions and the post-natal meet-up
How to sum up the reserves of knowledge, generosity and experience possessed by Pam? TV Presenter Davina Mcall does a better job than I ever could in this video link - I challenge you not to cry! Having worked in the NHS and Privately for over 25 years there is nothing that Pam does not know about the very latest evidence on pregnancy and birth. Knowing all of our local units but remaining outside of their restrictions, Pam is perfectly placed to advise couples of their genuine choices. Well-loved and well-connected, it's amazing what Pam can make happen in a single phone call! Time after time she helps women get the births they want - be that a homebirth or a planned caesarean section. Post-natally, she is a phenomenon - all baby-care and breastfeeding issues can be tackled in your own home. I was immensely blessed to have Pam catch all my babies and love that her talents are now shared widely through our classes. You can call Pam directly on 07860752651 or send her an email. As our women say, “All I do is keep calm and call Pam!”

Donald may have a million letters after his name but that’s not why I chose him for our team. He is ideal because he is the calmest, most insightful, woman-centred obstetrician in the UK. He has more than 35 years experience in NHS and private practice at The Birth Company. Our couples are privileged to have such a small gathering in which to benefit from his wisdom. His Harley Street’ ‘The Birth Company’ now has new premises in Cheshire and he treats over 2,500 women per year for scans and expert care. He also tells a great tale or two!
At our 'Obstetrician-led class on Birth' session
Our breastfeeding expert is Chloe Dymond Tucker, a lovely midwife who trained at King’s College Hospital, and now works at Guys and St Thomas'. She is a fully qualified lactation consultant who works as an NHS community breastfeeding in Lambeth, seeing up to 70 women per week. Chloe believes in helping families make decisions that allow them to enjoy their new life with a baby. Getting to know her prior to having your baby is a god-send if you need help afterwards. Her sunny disposition and sense of humour make her class a total joy.
At our 'Breastfeeding' session
When Emily isn't running our Teddington course, she is a midwife at Chelsea & Westminster, a qualified aromatherapist and specialist in Reflex Zone Therapy (RZT) for pregnancy and birth. Mum to a four-year-old son (and a dog!) she is based in West London, from where she runs her own business selling personal blends through Etsy and creating content for her successful Instagram account. A truly modern midwife, with women at the heart of all her work, Emily is loved by all the couples she teaches in Teddington and also meets in Chiswick where she hosts our complimentary therapies class.
At our 'Aromatherapy & Reflexology' session
"Great informative classes in a relaxed environment exactly what we were looking for! Loved all the laughter from our group, who new antenatal could be so much fun! We felt comfortable asking any questions within the class as the environment was relaxed with partners included in conversations. The obstetrician led and the place of birth evenings were very informative and something I could not have found in a book."
"Really informative and done in a relaxed, fun & supportive way. Having spoken to friends who have done NCT, this is streets ahead. Being a first time Mum, all the information thrown at you can be a bit daunting but THBC covers everything you need to know and more without over whelming you and with a lot of laughs along the way. The added bonus of the amazing midwife being on hand is invaluable and was an enormous support to us when I had a few wobbles after the birth."
"Amazing, holistic course covering pregnancy, labour and breastfeeding from all perspectives. Hypnobirthers, reflexologists, aromatherapists, obstetricians, nutritionists and more - honestly something for everyone to learn, from all angles! I cannot tell you how happy our birth was thanks to these classes. A fun, relaxed but informative way to prepare yourself for the most amazing experience of your lives!"

Partners are welcome at all sessions and encouraged to attend as many as they can. The majority of our sessions are in a pub which usually goes down very well with them! If you’re attending our sessions solo, that’s absolutely fine. We also welcome grandparents-to-be if either of you are stuck at work!
We genuinely care about our couples and are unique in having an ethical refund policy. In the sad (and unlikely) event that you’re unable to start or complete our course due to baby loss we will refund your costs. If your baby arrives early so that you miss some sessions, we will offer a complimentary home visit from our midwife.
With enough notice, we are often able to offer an alternative date with a later or earlier group to complete the session you’re missing but this is not always guaranteed. Drop us a line and we’ll always try our best to work things out for you.
You’re welcome to complete our Hypnobirthing workshop at any stage in your pregnancy. It’s never too early to learn these skills which will help you in labour and beyond. Knowing how to stay calm is just as useful when you’re a parent!
Yes. All our midwives are extremely generous with their time and will give you their personal phone number with hours that they will endeavour to be available for you.
